I want to announce a new packaging & price change to our bar soaps. As things change and you try different ideas you learn what works and does not. For the last few years I have been packaging our bar soaps with a cigar-style kraft paper wrapper with a clear label attached to it. Over all, this has worked okay, but as bar soaps cure over time I was finding the cigar wraps would become loose and slide easily off the bar. Therefore, I am starting to package my soaps in Organza bags with a ribbon closure. All of our water-based soaps will be packaged in the Ivory colored bags, and all goat milks in White bags. I really love the look of these bags as the products are clearly visible, and they breath well to allow the soap to get good air circulation. They also make it easy for you to give as a gifts. It will be a gradual switch as I still have a lot of soaps on my shelves with cigar-style labeling. Any new batchs of soap will be packaged in the new Organza bags. Also, for the first time in about 3 years, I find I have to raise our prices on our bar soaps as materials and shipping prices have really sky-rocketed this past year. Our new price for all soaps in the Organza bags will be $6.00, and any soaps I still have in stock with old style packaging will stay at the $5.00 price until sold out. For those of you who shop in our in-house store: (Because of the price increase) We will now pay your sales tax for any purchase, and for any credit card payments we will no longer charge you $1.00 for running your card.
